Homemade Mooncakes . 自家製月餅
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, everyone! I have the homemade moon-cakes here.

I have a habit, I like having a dry run before I prepare the festive food for the friends and relatives no matter how many times I have made it before and am repeating the same old recipes. I do it the same for the moon-cakes, turnip cakes and the New year cakes as I want to make sure all the ingredients perform the same good qualities like I have expected.
After the oven test on the moon-cakes, I made a few rounds, it seemed that it was never enough no matter how many rounds of moon-cakes I have made. I am blessed to have a helpful assistant, my helper who helped making more moon-cakes for me when I was engaged with some other business.

我有一個習慣,在準備節慶食品之前,我會把材料、爐溫再試一次,即使以往已做過,亦重複用同一食譜,但總覺得材料每年都有或多或少出入,試造過就可確保成品品質一樣。 中秋的月餅,農曆年時的蘿蔔糕和年糕,都會先試造一遍,心理上也踏實多。
今年試粉造月餅後,我造了好多轉,還是不夠派;尚幸,家裡有個好幫手,工人姐姐也幫忙造了好幾轉。
